La Cultura Magazine is a custom car culture magazine that redefines model and pedal cars, art, rides, bikes and cultura. They are based in the San Francisco Bay Area but are rapidly expanding to other cities in the United Sates as well as other countries. They approached me to design a wordmark that truly represented them culturally in the modern world.
I was the sole designer on this project 
Two weeks
The owners of La Cultura Magazine wanted to keep the logo family friendly and away from the "hood" stigma. The logo was to be used on their magazine cover, t-shirts, hats and business cards. After some variations, I went back to what they wanted simple and modern. I found a type
The owners wanted to stay away from typical gang colors like red and blue. We revised the color from green to gold because gold is associated with sophistication, elegance, value, quality and status. Gold is also seen in the cars and bikes, it is what everyone can agree on. 

The magazine will be distributed in all parts of the globe stretching out as far as Japan, where an interest in Chicane culture in growing. The owner of La Cultura travels to different parts of the world and wants to be able to sell his merchandise like shirts and hats.
